I was very lucky to spend a year as Curator in Residence at MAC Birmingham. The position was sponsored by DASH as part of an initiative to train disabled artists as curators.

I curated a show called Art and Social Change: The Disability Arts Movement (6th Jan – 22nd Mar 2020) which brought together the art and activist objects from The Disability Arts Movement. (Sample review)

I also curated a sold-out symposium, Slaughtering the Sacred Cows, to try to bring together Art, Disability, and Free-Thinking, at which I said Things We Are Not Allowed To Say. (Still awaiting my inevitable cancellation…) (Another review) Speakers: Aaron Williamson, Aidan Moesby, Trish Wheatley, Sonia Bouie, Tom Shakespeare, Chair: Manick Govinda.
