This piece doesn’t offer a single linear metaphor, but rather resonances of several ideas that resurface regularly in my work: Narratives of place; narratives in general and their relationship to reality; categorization/atomization subverting reality; cognition creating, and limiting our experience of, reality; and ideas from physics about dimensions that are not accessible to us in our current reality.
I know it’s cop-out not to spell this out any more thoroughly but, to be honest, explaining my art always feels like very hard work!
