It is my contention that identity is an illusion; a narrative; and we have as many different identities as consciousnesses we have encountered. Each consciousness we come into contact with receives a different ‘thin slice’ of our ‘identity’. I think this is portrayed well by the same rubber band, twisted into unique forms; the rubber is viscerally flesh-like.

This can be shown as a series of fine art photographs of the same band, or it can be shown as an installation of separate but identical bands presented on small plinths.
