Description:

Breathing Room by Anna Berry is a kinetic installation forming a tunnel, lined with cones that ‘breathe’, creating an immersive experience which is strange and otherworldly.

We are looking for fabricators to work as part of a team of around 4-8 people, creating the cones that make up the piece. Made from Tyvek (a coated paper-like product), the team will be responsible for the construction of the thousands of cones required to build the breathing structure, using a simple folding & gluing technique.

Experience of working on installations and/or with paper is desired but not essential – this may be in a professional, voluntary or personal context i.e. paper crafting. We anticipate the work will take place over 4-6 weeks in March / April 2020, and that each maker works approx. 12 hours a week over the duration of the project, however we are fairly flexible.

How to apply

If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and a short covering letter/email detailing your availability during March and April, any relevant experience, and why you are interested in the project (no more than 500 words) to Coleen Wilkinson, Team Co-ordinator at: coleen.wilkinson@yahoo.com

Interviews will take place in the coming weeks by phone / Skype or in person (as preferred by the candidate) throughout the application period as we are keen to start recruiting the team as soon as possible.
Contact Coleen Wilkinson, Team Co-ordinator via coleen.wilkinson@yahoo.com if you have any questions.
