My work comes back time and again to the notion that identity is an illusion; a narrative; that we have as many identities as consciousnesses we have encountered. Each person we come into contact with receives a different ‘thin slice’ of us.

This work shows the same rubber band, twisted into unique forms; the rubber is viscerally flesh-like.

Ideally this is shown as a series of fine art photographs of the same band, but it could be shown as an installation of separate but identical bands presented on small plinths.
